Aberdeen Welcomes Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue Shelter
Aberdeen welcomed Castle of Dreams to the Cliffwood section. It's a shelter for dogs and puppies rescued from high-kill shelters.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Earlier this November, Aberdeen Township welcomed Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue to the Cliffwood section of town.
Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and puppies rescued from high-kill shelters. It was founded in 2003 and since then has been run out of the home of its founder, Jackie Hastings.

But now, the new "shelter of dreams" has a permanent home, and it's in Aberdeen. They are located in a two-story, three bedroom home with a huge park-like yard at 434 Cliffwood Avenue.
In addition, the center includes administrative offices, a breakout room and an isolation room for sick animals.

The organization’s vision is to create a home-like environment for dogs.
“It is an honor to welcome Castle of Dreams to Aberdeen. We’re pleased that you selected Aberdeen to provide a safe, warm loving homes for dogs and puppies," said Aberdeen Mayor Fred Tagliarini. "I urge everyone to open your hearts to this excellent organization so that they can continue their fine work.”
In addition to Mayor Tagliarini, Aberdeen was represented at the ribbon-cutting by Councilmen Robert Swindle and Greg Cannon as well as members of the Aberdeen Police Department.
