Aberdeen's Tree Lighting Is Dec. 4: New Offerings This Year
Aberdeen's annual Christmas tree lighting is Dec. 4 and will feature new attractions this year, including carolers and ice sculpting.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township's annual Christmas tree lighting event will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4 and will feature new attractions this year, including carolers and an ice sculpture artist.
The event will take place at Aberdeen Town Hall, 1 Aberdeen Square, at 7 p.m. Residents are encouraged to help decorate the tree by bringing an ornament with their family’s last name on it. (Ornaments will remain on the tree until after the holidays.)
The lighting ceremony will feature all the classics, including pictures with Santa Claus, free cookies with hot chocolate and a performance by the Matawan-Aberdeen Middle School Chorus.

New additions to this year’s festivities also include carolers to help spread the holiday cheer. Aberdeen is asking residents to please bring a new and unwrapped toy to donate to a child in need through “Toys for Tots.”
Meanwhile, details will follow soon on Aberdeen’s annual menorah lighting ceremony, which will be held at Town Hall on Sunday, Dec. 22.
