Because She Is to Host Free Series of Monthly Yoga Sessions

The non-profit organization Because She Is will host a series of free monthly yoga sessions for trauma survivors with Pattijean at Pearl Yoga & Fitness in Keyport, NJ. Whether you’re new to the practice of yoga or well along the path of experience, join us to take time each month for some self-care.

Yoga and meditation offer many benefits, including the reduction of anxiety and stress, encouragement of relaxation and balance, and assistance to alleviate depression.
The one-hour sessions are scheduled for October 13, November 10, and December 8, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Attendance is free, but preregistration in advance is required and space is limited. About Because She Is

Because She Is, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer organization founded in 2018. We are based in South Amboy, NJ at a warm and welcoming location named Marilyn’s Place in honor of a generous benefactor. Because She Is provides free support services for survivors of physical, emotional, and sexual assault and abuse.
Together with volunteers who are also survivors, participants are invited to attend peer-led group meetings, creative and meditative workshops, clinician-led workshops, and social gatherings, all free of charge. Our goal is to provide a place of comfort where those who deal with the effects of trauma can come to gather, talk, and heal with others who have been in their shoes and understand what they are thinking and feeling.
