Bridge Resurfacing Project on Church Street in Aberdeen Township

Starting Thursday, this project will have a major impact on Church Street between Lloyd Road and Atlantic Avenue.

Aberdeen, NJ - Starting this Thursday, the Monmouth County Highway Division along with the Aberdeen Township Public Works Department will be proceeding with a bridge resurfacing project on Church Street between Cashel Drive and Cypress Lane, the township announced.

This project will have a major impact on Church Street between Lloyd Road and Atlantic Avenue, the township said. The tentative date for this project is Thursday, July 28 at 8:00 a.m., and should be finished the same day around 3:00 p.m. However, weather and unforeseen conditions may extend the work schedule and traffic conditions.

To do the work, Church Street will be closed during this project at the intersections of Atlantic Avenue and Lloyd Road to ALL vehicular traffic traveling in BOTH directions. All vehicular traffic includes emergency vehicles as well. A full detour plan will be posted along the roadways in the area. The detour plan calls for vehicles to use Lloyd Road, Cambridge Drive, Gerard Avenue, Lower Main Street and Atlantic Avenue. Drivers are advised to either avoid the area or find alternate routes.
