County Road Closed Btw. Bayview St. And Kennedy Ave. In Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, NJ — Starting this Thursday, April 4, the NJ DOT and NJ Transit will begin a railroad crossing repair and resurfacing project on County Road in Aberdeen Township.

This project will be located at the railroad crossing between Bayview Street and Kennedy Avenue. This project will have a major impact on vehicle traffic on County Road between Old Bridge Township and Rt. 35.

The tentative start date for this project is set to begin on Thursday, April 4 at 7 a.m., which should last until Thursday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m. However, weather and unforeseen conditions may extend the work schedule and traffic conditions.

In order to complete this work in a safe and efficient manner, County Road will be closed at the intersections of Bayview Street and Kennedy Avenue to ALL vehicular traffic traveling in BOTH directions. This includes emergency vehicles as well.

A full detour plan has been established and approved, which has been posted along the roadways in our area. We understand that this will impact traffic in multiple jurisdictions, so we are asking the public to plan an alternate route while this project is taking place, said Aberdeen police.
