Downed Power Line Knocks Out Route 35 Lights at County Road and Cliffwood Avenue

Aberdeen Police are diverting traffic around the intersections.

Police are diverting traffic around two Route 35 intersections while crews from Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) work to restore power to the traffic lights at County Road and Cliffwood Avenue, according to Police Chief John Powers.

The outage is due to a contractor knocking down a power line while working on Route 35, Powers explained.

It was estimated that the repairs will take between two and three hours, which would, if all goes as planned, result in the lights becoming fully operational between 6 and 6:30 p.m.
