'Fur-tastic' Softball Game to Benefit Local Animal Rescue Groups
The softball game in Aberdeen will support All Fur Love and Castle of Dreams.

The first annual Bark & Meow Softball Game will benefit two local animal rescue groups.
All Fur Love of Freehold and Castle of Dreams of Keyport will be the beneficiaries of the event, according to the Facebook group. The teams are made up of volunteers from each organization.Â
The first pitch will be thrown at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 at Fireman's Field in Aberdeen, which is at the intersection of Gerard Avenue and Broadway. Tickets can be purchased for a $10 donation.
Food and beverages may be purchased for a donation, which goes 100 percent toward the rescue organizations, according to the event description. There will also be ice cream for sale, a 50/50 raffle and a performance by a surprise performer.
Furry friends are welcome at the event and baby pools will be set up to keep those pups cool.
A rain date is scheduled for Aug. 4.Â
