Independence Day Celebration: Matawan's Fireworks Return July 2
The celebration will kick off at Lake Lefferts Park on July 2. There'll be food, music and, of course, fireworks at dusk.
MATAWAN, NJ — If you're looking for something to do this Independence Day, you're in luck. Matawan will celebrate the birthday of the United States with a spectacular fireworks display.
The fireworks will be launched at dusk from Matawan First Presbyterian Church with stunning views from Ravine Dr. Bridge and Lake Lefferts Park.
Since the location of the launch site is at the church, and the area around it is considered the fall-out zone, police will have that area closed as a viewing location, according to officials.
