
Matawan/Aberdeen, NJ - The New Jersey Department of Education released the latest graduation rate totals on Wednesday, reporting that the state’s overall high school graduation rate rose to 89.7% in 2015 from 88.6% in 2014.
Matawan Regional H.S. came in higher than the statewide average, with 91% of the senior class graduating last year.
Holmdel and Hazlet high schools far exceeded the state average, however: Holmdel High School saw a 97% graduation rate last year, and Raritan High School in Hazlet Township had a 96% graduation rate.

Middletown North was 94% and Middletown South 93%. Keyport High School was 85%, Keansburg High School was 87% and Old Bridge High School was 93%.
This is the fourth straight year that New Jersey’s high school graduation rate has increased, and the third consecutive year in which it grew by at least a full percentage point, DOE officials said. All the grad results can be found here.
