Matawan July 4th Fireworks: 2018 Guide
Saturday, June 30 is Matawan's Fireworks Extravaganza at Lake Lefferts. The band Alive '75 will perform, and there's a pie-eating contest.

MATAWAN, NJ — Saturday, June 30 will be Matawan's Fireworks Extravaganza at Lake Lefferts. The rain date is Sunday, July 1.
The Paglia Band will open the evening at 6:30 p.m.
Then Matawan will host its first-ever pie-eating contest beginning at 7:30 p.m. Must be 18 years old and register in advance with the Recreation Department at 732-566-3898, ext. 130. First place winner gets a $100 gift card and the second place winner gets a $50 gift card.

Alive '75, a KISS cover band, will perform at around 7:45 p.m. They will be milling around to meet and pose with people.
There will be an obstacle course and jumbo slide for the kids, as well as cotton candy, popcorn, Italian ice and pretzels. Jonathon Anderson gourmet burger truck will be on hand. Fireworks begin when it gets dark.

Aberdeen's fireworks will be Saturday, July 7 at Veterans Memorial Park! Spray park is open late, 'till 8 p.m., and fireworks start at 9.
And Hazlet's fireworks will be Tuesday evening, July 3 this year, at Veterans' Memorial Park.
