May Be Several Days Before All Power Is Restored In Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, NJ — More than 80 percent of Aberdeen Township lost electricity in the storm, and restoring it will be "a multi-day task," said Aberdeen Mayor Fred Tagliarini Wednesday afternoon.

In total, more than 200,000 homes across Monmouth County lost power due to Tropical Storm Isaias, with 6,612 of those in Aberdeen and 4,000 in Matawan.

JCP&L has more 3,000 people working around the clock, in addition to 1,500 line workers and tree contractors.
