Obituary: Former Librarian of Matawan Elementary School Dies at 92
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.

Alma E Koelsch, 92, of Matawan passed away peacefully on January 13, 2013 at The Willows at Holmdel.
She was born in Jersey City to dear parents Martin and Augusta Wolfe. She lived in Jersey City until moving to Matawan in 1957. She was employed as an executive assistant and later as librarian at the Matawan Elementary School. She was a longtime communicant at the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, and enjoyed serving the church in various roles while also being active in other local organizations such as the Woman's Club, Historical Society and Parent Teacher Association. She greatly enjoyed travelling the United States and the world, and was an avid reader. She will be missed by many who were touched by her good and caring nature, and by her sense of humor.
Alma was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter J Koelsch and her sister Isabel D Wolfe. She is survived by a son Peter M Koelsch and wife Rebecca, and grandchildren Peter W Koelsch and Anna J Koelsch.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Route 34, Matawan with interment at the Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Rd, Holmdel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service.Â
