Police In Monmouth County Track Down Stolen Electronics, Cops Say
Electronic goods were stolen in Colts Neck, police say. A locator feature led detectives to an area near Menlo Park Mall, cops say.

Three people stole iPads and cell phones from vehicles in Colts Neck, but using the locator feature on those electronics, police tracked the goods to Middlesex County and made one arrest, authorities said.
When they took the Parlin man into custody and impounded his vehicle, they also found items they believe were stolen from other victims, according to Colts Neck Police Chief Kevin Sauter.
Police say the investigation into the case is continuing.

It began on Tuesday, when Colts Neck officers were called to a home on Ireton Key, near Colts Neck Boulevard, because two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway had been burglarized, Sauter said in a news release.

The victim told police numerous items, including iPads and cell phones, had been stolen.
The home had a video surveillance system, and it showed three people taking items from the vehicles around 4 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim used the locator feature on one of the electronic devices and determined its approximate location was near Menlo Park Mall in Edison.
Colts Neck detectives went to Edison and tracked down a vehicle, and arrested a Middlesex County man.
Kumail Hussain, 19, of Parlin, was charged with burglary, theft and possession of stolen property. He was sent to the Monmouth County jail in Freehold Township, with bail set at $10,000.
Police also impounded his vehicle, which contained property from several victims. Police say some people may not even realize their property was stolen, and they are working to notify those victims.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Colts Neck Detective Bureau at 732-780-7323 or detectives@coltsneckpolice.com
