Sayreville Brush Fire Reported Friday
The fire was pushed by wind and 12 homes were threatened, reports NJ Forest Fire Service.

Sayreville, NJ - New Jersey Forest Fire Service B10 crews battled a more than three-acre brush fire in Sayreville off North Ernston Road and Beth Anne Way Friday afternoon.
The fire was pushed by wind and 12 homes were at one point threatened by the flames, tweeted NJ Forest Fire Service. As of 5 p.m. Friday, the fire was 50% contained, and had grown to about 5 acres.

A New Jersey Forest Fire Service helicopter launched to battle the blaze.
The fire was first reported at about 1:30 p.m. Friday. Aberdeen, Old Bridge and East Brunswick fire companies all provided mutual aid.
