South Amboy Man Had Heroin, Drove Erratically On Parkway: Police

SOUTH AMBOY, NJ — Last Friday afternoon, State Police arrested a South Amboy man who they say had heroin and oxycodone pills on him, and was also under the influence of drugs or alcohol while he drove.
Skyler Eby, 26, of South Amboy, was charged with DWI and police seized $3,040 worth of heroin and oxycodone pills from his BMW, said police.
At 2:25 p.m. Friday, April 9, State Police were alerted of an erratic driver traveling southbound on the Garden State Parkway in Middlesex County

A caller reported that a black BMW with New York license plates was making dangerous, multiple lane changes.
Within minutes of receiving the call, Trooper Anthony Navarro located and stopped the car southbound at milepost 131.2 in Woodbridge Township after he observed the erratic driving.

During the stop, the trooper noticed the driver was under the influence and arrested him for DWI. A search of the car revealed that Eby was in possession of more than seven grams of heroin and more than 132 oxycodone pills, said State Police.
Eby was additionally charged with possession of heroin, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, criminal under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and DWI. He was released pending a court date.
