Since Nov. 22, police responded to 607 calls and responded to 173 motor-vehicle stops, resulting in 140 motor-vehicle summonses.

ABERDEEN, NJ - Police responded to at least three stolen-vehicles cases while trying to discover who had stolen a resident's mail and the identity of the person who entered a resident's unlocked car, stole his debit card and made unauthorized purchases. It sounds like this edition of the Aberdeen police blotter reflects the seasonal uptick with criminals picking up a little something nice for themselves. As always, the police are urging to be wary, particularly in view of the fact that if a person cannot get into your car because it is locked, he will try the neighbors.
