Two Matawan, Aberdeen Roads To Be Repaved In 2021
In Matawan, the borough received $150,000 to make road improvements to Sapphire Lane. In Aberdeen, $240,000 was given for Van Brackle Road.
ABERDEEN, NJ — The state of New Jersey recently allocated a total of $161 million to more than 500 towns for road repairs and improvements.
In Matawan, the borough received $150,000 to make road improvements to Sapphire Lane. In Aberdeen, $240,000 was given for unspecified "Van Brackle Roadway improvements."
The work will take place some time in 2021; an exact date has not been given yet.

Under the Municipal Aid grant program, each county is allocated a share of the total funding based on population and the number of local centerline miles, according to the governor's office. Municipalities compete for portions of their county's share.
