The Y Supports Federal Employees Burdened By Government Shutdown

YMCA's of Monmouth County offers stress relief to current federal government employees with free access to Y branches

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We believe that acting together with our community, we can make a better world. We are committed to working with and providing support to our neighbors. We also are committed to providing opportunities for kids, adults and families to become healthier together.

We’re Stronger Together

In response to the burden on individuals and families in Monmouth County by the recent partial government shutdown, The Community YMCA and YMCA of Western Monmouth County will offer stress relief to current federal government employees and their families with free access to Y branches and modified childcare payments for the duration of the shutdown.

TO PARTICIPATE:
Current federal government employees should visit the Welcome Center or Membership Department at the Red Bank Family YMCA, Freehold YMCA or Old Bridge YMCA, and show proof of employment & a valid photo ID. Participants of this program will have access to the same membership benefits as current Y members. For existing Y members who are impacted, we will waive your month of dues.

Affected families who participate in YMCA before and after care, and preschool in Matawan, and YMCA childcare programs in Freehold may inquire about modified payment arrangements to ensure continued access to childcare support in a safe, supervised environment without disruption to the family routine.
