9 Hotels, 3 Restaurants Honored As Among Best In New Jersey

New Jersey's best hotels and restaurants were honored recently for their ability to "shine." And they were honored by the nation's leading roadside service company.

AAA Mid-Atlantic presented the 2018 AAA "Four Diamond Awards" to 12 establishments in New Jersey. The state boasts nine hotels and three restaurants that received the "Four Diamond" accreditation this year.

The honors go to properties that "shine above the rest" in the ever-changing hospitality industry, according to a press release.

"The AAA Five and Four Diamond Awards are the most coveted symbols of excellence for lodgings and restaurants," according to the press release.

AAA Diamond Ratings for hotels represent a combination of the overall quality, range of facilities and level of services offered by the property. The descriptive ratings are assigned to properties that "meet and uphold AAA’s rigorous approval standards."

A Four Diamond hotel "is refined and stylish, providing upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail," according to an AAA press release.

AAA Diamond Ratings for restaurants, meanwhile, represent "a combination of the overall food, service, décor and ambiance offered by the establishment. The descriptive ratings are assigned exclusively to establishments that meet and uphold AAA’s rigorous approval standards."

A Four Diamond restaurant "provides distinctive fine dining, creatively prepared, skillfully served, often by a wine steward, amid upscale ambience."

In New Jersey, these establishments were honored on May 10 at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

• Grand Cascades Lodge, Hamburg (4 year recipient)

• Lambertville Station Inn (3 year recipient)
• The Bernards Inn (22 year recipient)
• The Peacock Inn, Princeton (first year on the list)
• The Southern Mansion, Cape May (8 year recipient)
• The Water Club by Borgata, Atlantic City (7 year recipient)

Restaurants:

• Pluckemin Inn, Bedminster (13 year recipient)
• Stage Left, New Brunswick (14 year recipient)
• The Bernards Inn (22 year recipient)
