The Beaver Dam Bridge between Point Pleasant Boro and Brick was closed around 11:15 a.m. due to a bridge malfunction, police said.
There was no estimated time for the repair.

The Beaver Dam Bridge has had some maintenance issues over the past year, and the span has had to shut for repairs on occasion.
