'Beloved Friend:' Point Pleasant Beach Woman, 51, Passes Away
Dawn Marie Brodeur was a beloved friend to many. And many paid tribute to the 51-year-old this past week.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH – Dawn Marie Brodeur was a beloved friend to many. And many paid tribute to the 51-year-old this past week.
Brodeur of Point Pleasant Beach passed away peacefully on Tuesday at her home surrounded by her loving family, according to her obituary at O'Brien Funeral Home.
Dawn was married to the deputy chief of Ocean Fire Co., Michael Brodeur.

Dawn worked for Bank of America in New Jersey for many years before retiring and was also a substitute for the Point Pleasant Beach High School, according to her obituary.
A "true matriarch" of her family, Dawn was involved with her children’s school’s PTO, Booster Clubs and the Girl Scouts of America, according to the obituary. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ocean Fire Co. #1 in Point Pleasant Beach and a member of the Tau Beta Sigma Band Sorority.

Born in Staten Island and raised in Long Island, she lived in Oakland before moving to Point Pleasant Beach 29 years ago.
Surviving are her loving husband, Michael Brodeur; daughter, Sarah Brodeur of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; and son, Ryan Brodeur of Point Pleasant Beach.
All services were to be conducted privately along with entombment at Atlantic View Cemetery in Manasquan.
A celebration of Dawn’s life will be planned in the near future when life is back to normal. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to be used at a later date to honor her memory.
