Ellen Louise Ferry Of Point Pleasant Dies At 91

Ellen Louise (Craig) Ferry, 91, of Point Pleasant, formerly of Somerset, Pa. passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 12, 2018.

She was born in Mount Pleasant, Pa. on April 24, 1926. She grew up in Acme as the eldest daughter of Randall and Mary (Blystone) Craig. She married Clarence A. Ferry, Jr. and resided in Somerset for many years before moving to Point Pleasant.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her brothers, Gerald Dale Craig and James L. Craig (Retha) Indian Head. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Reese, and her husband Lynn Reese of Point Pleasant, her granddaughter Megan Ankerson of Ann Arbor Michigan and her great-grandsons, Clyde and Harvey. She is also survived by her sisters, Charmaine Yon (William Frank) of Calera, Al. and Eileene Rose (Donald) of Acme, Pa. as well as many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

She was employed by Bender Shoe Company and spent many years raising and selling beef cattle. She designed, produced and marketed ELF greeting cards. She was involved in many caring and giving activities.

Friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Somerset A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Bethany United Methodist Church, Somerset. Interment Edie Cemetery.
