Eva Louise Spahr Of Point Pleasant Beach Dies At 53
Services for former bodybuilder, owner of The Guest House will be held on Friday and Saturday

Eva Louise Spahr of Point Pleasant Beach died on Nov. 18, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends. She was 53.
Louise was born on March 29, 1964 and was originally from Rutherford. She was a sales executive for Integrated Analytical Laboratories in Randolph, NJ. She earned a partial swimming scholarship to Seton Hall University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology.

Eva went on to become an amateur bodybuilder where she competed in the National Physique Competition. Later on, Eva decided that she wanted to live at the beach, so she purchased a 100-year old boarding house and turned it into a successful guest house called The King and I in Point Pleasant Beach.
Always looking for a new adventure, Eva decided to become a dog owner and got her first Boston terrier, Woofles, and then Peetie and Rocky Louise. She competed with Woofles in AKC Agility Trials and was a member of Jersey Agility Of Central Jersey and Bayshore Champion Dog Club.

Eva is survived by her mother Louise S. Spahr (née DeAugusta), her sister, Theresa M. Lawrence and her husband Clifton Lawrence of Lodi, her aunt Stella DeAugusta of New Milford, NJ, her uncle and aunt Joseph and Elaine DeAugusta of Prescott, Arizona, her uncle Louis Michalski of Bayonne and the three loves of her life, her Boston terriers Woofles, Peetie, and Rocky Louise.
The family will receive relatives and friends at a viewing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's R.C, Church in Point Pleasant Beach. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery inNorth Arlington, NJ.
