The Point Pleasant Beach restaurant has found ways to take care of the public amid the coronavirus pandemic.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH – For Kathy Griswold, Joe Leone's has gone "above and beyond" in helping people amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Point Pleasant Beach restaurant has always been an active and popular member of the community. But the business provided the one service that everybody's needed since March.

"Now more than ever we're committed to keeping our guests safe and healthy while providing the experience you have come to expect from Joe Leone's. That's why we're continuing our contactless Curbside To-Go alongside our modified in-store experience."
Joe Leone's was among several establishments nominated for Patch's "Business of the Year" in Point Pleasant Beach as many businesses continue to battle through the coronavirus pandemic.
But it was these businesses, the customers say, that also came through for others in need – even as they were struggling themselves.
And it wasn't just the pickup service that impressed customers. They were also impressed by the efforts to keep the restaurant clean, just as fears of contracting the virus spread as the second wave hit.
"Best sandwiches and staff. You'd think you were in Italy," said Eileen Carlson, a customer. "You have to check it out. So clean, wonderful."
Patch readers nominated a Local Businesses of the Year. The local businesses included retail stores, restaurants, hardware shops, dry cleaners, plumbers, car mechanics, salons and more.
Patch will feature nominated businesses in December.
