Klotz's Kitchen In Point Boro: 'Hanging In,' But It's Tough
Klotz's Kitchen is hanging in there. But like a number of businesses in the area, they could do better with more.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – Klotz's Kitchen on Bridge Avenue is "hanging in" there. But like a number of businesses in the area, Klotz's could do better with more.
One of the owners, Coleen Klotz, said her restaurant is only doing 50 percent of the business it made last year, and Klotz's doesn't really have the space to do outdoor dining.
"Which is a shame," she said. "This is the time for a lot of small businesses to make their money and save for the winter."

Gov. Phil Murphy had planned to open indoor dining earlier in July, but he pulled back the plan when cases spiked in other parts of the country.
Klotz, however, said if her restaurant were to open indoor dining at 25 percent capacity, "that would only be 11 people for me."

She's also only open four days instead of seven.
"We are open only Thursday through Sunday since March 16th," she said. "I figured it was better to be busy four days instead of doing seven mediocre days."
Klotz, meanwhile, has taken to Facebook to make sure people see what's on the menu.
"Things are going OK, I guess. They could be worse," she said. "Let’s hope things get better soon."
