Longtime Point Pleasant Boro Police Officer Don Branda Dies
Lt. Richard "Don" Branda, a longtime police officer in Point Pleasant Boro, has died, the police department reported on Thursday.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – Lt. Richard “Don” Branda, a longtime police officer in Point Pleasant Boro, has died, the police department reported on Thursday. He was 80.
Branda, a fixture in Point Pleasant Boro who was everybody's coffee pal and Little League coach, served in the department from 1965 until his retirement in January 1995.
During his career, Branda was a firearms instructor, a member of the motorcycle unit and the patrol commander, where he received numerous awards and commendations.

Branda was also an active member in the community and coached his son, Rich, in the Point Pleasant Little League for several years. He also operated a video store on Beaver Dam Road.
