And this is what the New Jersey town did about it.

MTV's "Jersey Shore" has filmed at a number of locations across the Jersey Shore. But it's usually near a beach.

Now the popular reality show has picked a place further inland to film their escapades.

The Hamilton Township Committee, however, may not be so ready to give them space in the Mays Landing section of town.

The committee on Monday voted to table a proposal from 495 Productions to film episodes of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” in Mays Landing, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

MTV wants "staycation episode" at an Airbnb rental property with some of the cast members for the next season, according to The Press. The dates being considered are Aug. 6 and 7 or Aug. 19 through 23.

"I have questions about what kind of filming are they doing? What's the objective of what they are filming? Where is the location of the rental property is where they are looking to stay at?" Committeeman John Kurtz asked, according to the report. "I think they have to be a little bit more specific."

The cast of "Jersey Shore" had been filming "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" out of Manalapan and other locations. So, yes, Snooki and the gang have already left the sun and surf of Seaside Heights for the inland area; specifically, 18 Kinney Road in Manalapan.

One episode this season features Snooki and Ronnie as the first roommates to arrive in the house, and they immediately proceed to make daiquiris and get drunk.

From there, a taxi picks them up — Snooki tells the driver he was rude and he should "watch his manners" — and they head to 618 Restaurant on Park Avenue in Freehold for dinner. Snookie can be heard saying "look at all these hos" as she walks in, and then orders a double Tito's with soda.

MTV originally wanted to film "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" at a home overlooking Barnegat Bay in Brick, but officials denied their permit request, saying they didn't want the area overrun with gawkers and crowds.

Brick Township Business Administrator Joanne Bergin told Patch that Brick denied the request by 495 Productions because officials determined it would have the potential to negatively impact the neighborhood, "not only due to the increased activity that comes with filming a TV show, but also the enhanced traffic and presence from curious onlookers and fans of the show hoping to meet/photograph/interact with the stars of the show."

"Using the house to film a TV show is not consistent with a standard residential use," she said at the time.
