There will be several factors that will play a role in determining just how strong and widespread the storms become, according to AccuWeather. The evolution of the threat for severe weather on Sunday afternoon will be dependent on exactly how far a complex of rain and thunderstorms sweeping through the Great Lakes region advances.
Then a stalled storm will lead to rounds of rain for several locations from New England to the mid-Atlantic through the middle of the week, according to AccuWeather. The storm will pull in moisture from the Atlantic Ocean, allowing for wet weather from the Maine coast to as far inland as the Mohawk Valley of New York on Monday and continuing into Wednesday.
