Operation Yellow Ribbon--Christmas Stockings for Troops abroad

Help the Woman's Club of Point Pleasant with filled holiday stockings for soldiers overseas.

Operation Yellow Ribbon is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization composed entirely of volunteers. These volunteers show support for United States Military forces serving in the Middle East, including Iraq & Afghanistan and those supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Inherit Resolve.
The Woman's Club of Point Pleasant is collecting completed stockings,(filled to the top & stitched shut) as well as monetary donations which will help members purchase items and fill as many stockings as possible to be sent to our troops overseas. Items should be personal size and gender neutral, no chocolates (they melt), no aerosol products, no products containing alcohol, & no alcohol. NO shaving cream, no gels or spray products as they are restricted in most countries. Lotions are acceptable. Completed stockings are needed by Oct. 13th. Stockings should be dropped off at the Woman's Club of Point Pleasant clubhouse, 513 St. Louis Avenue, Point Pleasant, between 9 am & 1 pm on Oct 13th . For further information or assistance, contact Patricia Sullivan, 732,899,2731.

Item suggestions: Toiletries, shampoos, conditioners, soap, stick deodorants, sponges, lotions, dental products, tissues, eye drops, lip balm, wet wipes, candy, Slim Jim's, trail mix, protein powder, nuts, raisins, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, gum, cookies, potato chips in cylinders or cans, individual packaged cakes, powdered drink mixes, DVDs, CDs, I-tune cards, playing cards, puzzle books, pens, pencils, all sizes of batteries, socks, & sun lotion, body/ foot powder, coffee & tea are just a few of their many requests. Also you may want to write a note or notes of appreciation to be placed in the stockings.

If you could attach a small envelope pinned to your stocking and include a $2. donation for help with the shipping costs, it would also be greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU for your support of our efforts to support and recognize our troops !
