Perky's Pumpkin Derby Coming To Jenkinson's On Saturday
Prizes will be awarded for race winners and creativity.

Who has the fastest pumpkin in Ocean County?
Come and find out at Jenkinson's Boardwalk on Oct. 22, when "Perky's Pumpkin Derby" gets underway.
The event pitting pumpkin against pumpkin begins at 2 p.m. Registration time is 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Wheels must be secured to the pumpkins, but no motorization or fire power is allowed. Let gravity do the work, according to the Jenkinson's website.
"Pumpkins will be racing side by side and therefore a little "bump car" action may take place during race heats," the post states.

Prizes for the best family friendly race winners and best creativity will be awarded. Pumpkins cannot weigh more than 25 pounds and exceed 18 inches in diameter.
There will be two weight classes - one for pumpkins under 12 pounds and one for pumpkins over 12 pounds.
