Point Boro School District Seeks Public Comment On Return Plan
Public comment can be done online until June 15.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ – The Point Pleasant School District has asked for public comment on the district’s proposed plan for when children come back to school in September.
In a letter posted on the district website, Superintendent of Schools Vincent Smith explained the reason behind the plan, which is a requirement to receive over $2.2 million in emergency funding from the American Rescue Plan, which was enacted in March.
“The district was tasked with developing the plan for Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services,” Smith said in the letter.

“District administrators met to develop the plan for the Point Pleasant Schools addressing the areas that are required to maintain a safe return for students and staff. The plan is being shared with you, through our website, to view protocols that will be continued in the 2021-2022 school year.”
The current proposed plan does call for masks to be worn and social distancing guidelines, if any, to be followed.
