The new coronavirus has changed life for all of us. Local businesses have taken a huge economic hit, but communities are finding creative ways to support the establishments they know and love.

In an effort to help local businesses in our communities stay connected and succeed, Patch will shine a light on some of them through a series of Q&A articles during this time.

Vintage Van Gogh's is one of the businesses in town facing struggles during the coronavirus. You can lend your support by reading more about the company, below, and by contacting them here.

Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

I am a Paint-and-Sip art studio in Point Pleasant Beach that teaches public and private, group and individual painting, drawing and crafting for adults, kids and even dogs. I have been open for about a year and a half. When I was looking for a location for my studio, I knew that it had to be in PPB. After growing up in town and graduating from both Antrim and PPBHS I understood the meaning of a close knit community and wanted my studio to be a part of it.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

I am unable to hold classes and lessons at my studio location currently. I am teaching my kids program (Act On Art!) and my regular paint party classes via Skype.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

I would love to create with the community via my Skype until I am able to do so in person again. Customers are also able to purchase gift certificates for classes either on Skype or for future in-person classes.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

This amazing community has proven to be resilient and together we can get through this!

Are you offering any special services, promotions or hours during this time?

I sure am! Click here to learn more about my Skype classes and to register today. Curbside pickup for art supplies is also available for classes.

Are there any other outstanding businesses in town you think deserve some community support?

Every brick and mortar store in the community deserves recognition and support during this time. We can pull together as a community and support every small business in town by purchasing gift certificates, ordering food or asking the owners how to support their business.
