Point Pleasant Boro High School Switches To Remote

The school district has decided to put a pause on in-person learning at Point Pleasant Boro High School.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – Due to the rising number of students and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19, the school district has decided to put a pause on in-person learning at Point Pleasant Boro High School.

Point Pleasant Boro High School transitioned to full-time remote Learning effective January 21 through February 3 to ensure the safety of the school community, officials said.

Students will follow the current class schedule from 8:05 a.m. to 11:57 a.m. with afternoon office hours scheduled as usual. Students will resume attending in-person instruction on Thursday, February 4.

Students who attend any Ocean County Vocational School will also be switched to remote learning. During this time frame, athletics and extracurricular/co-curricular activities will be halted.

The PSAT scheduled for January 26th is being postponed. Information on the rescheduled date will be coming from the high school administration in the near future.

Students interested in picking-up lunch from the cafeteria may do so on Mondays and Wednesdays at the cafeteria door between 12 noon and 12:30 p.m.

Please note that Nellie Bennett Elementary School and Memorial Middle School will continue with their current in-person instruction schedule and Ocean Road Elementary School will return to in-person instruction on Friday, January 22 as planned.
