Point Pleasant Crash Victim, The Man Who Fixes Anything, Dies
Friends across Point Pleasant Boro and Point Pleasant Beach rallied to support the family after Quintin Martin was injured in a crash.

Quintin Martin of Point Pleasant, a loving husband, a father and a skilled carpenter who suffered injuries in a crash in early February, has died, according to his obituary. He was 37.
Paul Sherman, who helped to raise money for the family through GoFundMe, said Martin passed on Monday. As of Wednesday, the fundraiser had reached more than $10,000 of its $25,000 goal.
A benefit also had planned for the Martin family on April 14 from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Windward Tavern on Princeton Avenue in Brick. The event was to include a Chinese auction, live bands and other activities.

Services have been scheduled. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant Boro, 901 Beaver Dam Rd., where at 5:30 p.m., a service will be held.
Quintin was injured in a car accident on I-195 on Feb. 2 on his way to work. Friends rallied to help the family as a way to give back, since Martin gave so much of himself for free.

"He is constantly helping friends and family, fixing and building at little to no charge on his days off," Sherman said.
Many people in Point Pleasant Boro and Point Pleasant Beach took up the cause, talking up Quintin on social media and asking for help in Facebook posts and elsewhere. Point Beach Mayor Stephen Reid said the family "really needs help, love, prayers, support."
"Please take two minutes and contribute whatever you can," he said last week. "It's good for them and you."
On the GoFundMe page, friends reminded people that "Quintin is an excellent provider, and is not the type of person who would ever ask for or accept a hand-out."
