Point Pleasant Halloween Parade Needs Participants
Parade categories range from floats, businesses, groups and zombies of all ages.

POINT PLEASANT, NJ - Want to march in the Point Pleasant Halloween parade?
You can register in a wide variety of categories, either as an individual or with a group. The parade will kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, on Bridge Avenue according to the Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce website.
You have until noon on Oct. 23 to register online, in order to have a kit mailed to you. Otherwise you can pick up your registration numbers at the Natures Reward annex parking lot on Mattapan Avenue before noon on Oct. 29, or register in person at the west side of the STS Service Center parking lot on parade day at 11 a.m.

Categories for the parade include floats - both pulled and motorized - businesses, dance groups, pets, individuals, families, babies and even zombies.
New this year is a ban on handing out candy or other items along the parade route.

"If any person/party/group is throwing or distributing candy in the parade, the parties involved will be removed from the parade immediately," the website states.
Chamber members will be handing out candy at the end of the parade route inside Community Park.
