Point Pleasant Tree Lighting Coming Up Soon
The free holiday event will be highlighted with a visit from Santa Claus on Dec. 8

POINT PLEASANT, NJ - The borough is kicking off the holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting and a visit from the big guy.
Santa will be in town between 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 8. at Community Park to listen to your children's Christmas wishes and take pictures, according to the borough website.
The Point Pleasant Recreation Department's Kinderschool classes, St. Peter's Show Choir and the Oceanaires Men's Chorus from Toms River will be on hand to sing Christmas Carols. Members of the Shore Dance Center and Enspirited Drama will also perform.

A winter holiday market is also planned, with food trucks and artisan boutiques. You can even take a horse and carriage ride from 6:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.
