Authorities say they're investigating a fire that took place in downtown Point Pleasant Beach.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH – Authorities say they're investigating a fire that recently took place in downtown Point Pleasant Beach.

The Ocean Fire Company says it responded to a commercial structure fire in downtown Point Pleasant Beach on Arnold Avenue last week.

Command authorities on the scene reported an active kitchen fire in a business, firefighters said.

Crews quickly knocked down the fire, checked for extension and ventilated the business, officials said.

Point Pleasant First Aid & Emergency Squad assisted on scene with rehabilitation.
