See Some Of The 50-100 Dolphins North Of Point Pleasant Beach

As many as 50 to 100 dolphins were out there.

There's a reason why more than 1,600 people have shared Mary Dunham's pictures of dolphins right off the Jersey Shore.

They're clear. They're good. And they have us yearning for summer.

Dunham took the pictures north of Point Pleasant Beach on Saturday when she said a few "playful friends" joined each other to jump and splash about 50 feet from the shoreline.

"Some were inside the break line but there were also some farther out," she told Patch. "The pod stretched for about 2 blocks and the feeding (and) activity lasted about 15 minutes before they moved south."
