The new coronavirus has changed life for all of us. Local businesses have taken a huge economic hit, but communities are finding creative ways to support the establishments they know and love.

Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

The White Sands has been a destination for 38 years. We are a family-owned and run hotel, spa, restaurant, lounge and banquet facility. We are three generations that enjoy working together to create the perfect Jersey Shore experience. We support our local community regularly through participation of events and donations and we employ over 100 people each season. We are proud to be a part of the very great town of Point Pleasant Beach.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

We have been closed since March. We have had all cancellations while having zero income and no new reservations. This has been a very scary time for us.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

We are waiting for the go ahead to start resuming reservations. We do sell gift certificates for the hotel, spa and restaurant. Having our local support is crucial and would be so appreciated. Please call or email to show your support.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

We will get through this. The sun will shine and we will get back to our beaches. We are Jersey Strong. Stay well. God bless.
