POINT PLEASANT BEACH - A tractor-trailer knocked down wires in Point Pleasant Beach this past week.

The incident happened on Thursday when Ocean Fire Co.'s Stations 42 and 43 responded to Channel Drive for a wire-down call, firefighters said.

Upon arrival, firefighters say they discovered a tractor-trailer that took down a telephone pole and wires.
