Traffic Nightmare: 6 Separate NJ Highway Crashes, Train Accident
A train line was shut down: Bad weather was causing traffic nightmares on several New Jersey highways on Tuesday morning.

NEW JERSEY – Bad weather was causing traffic nightmares on several New Jersey highways on Tuesday morning. A tractor trailer collided with a train in Middlesex County, shutting down the line.
At least six separate crashes were causing major delays on the Garden State Parkway, the New Jersey Turnpike and other highways (see list below).
NJ Transit's Raritan Valley line was suspended in both directions after a tractor trailer collided with a train on Cedar Lane in Middlesex.

Flooding was also reported on the New Jersey Turnpike inner and outer roadways southbound south of Interchange 6 in Mansfield Township.

- A crash on I-78 eastbound west of Exit 24 in Clinton Township closed one lane, causing a 10-15 minute delay.
- A crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound at Exit 171 in Woodcliff Lake blocked one lane.
- A crash on Route 42 southbound north of Exit 10A in Gloucester Township closed one lane, causing a 10-15 minute delay.
- A crash on the I-287 express lanes on northbound US 206 in Bridgewater Township closed one lane, causing a 5-10 minute delay.
- Downed wires and a transformer fire were causing problems on Route 66 eastbound west of Route 18 in Ocean Township. The road was reopened after it was closed.
- A vehicle was off the roadway on I-295 southbound south of Exit 40 in Mount Laurel, closing the shoulder.
- A crash on Garden State Parkway southbound north of the Barnegat tolls in Waretown was blocking the shoulder
- A disabled bus on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound north of Interchange 11 in Woodbridge was blocking the shoulder.
