US Coast Guard Makes Rescue Off Of Manasquan Inlet

A boat crew from the Coast Guard's Manasquan Inlet station assisted with the rescue of an elderly boater experiencing stroke-like symptoms.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – A United States Coast Guard boat crew, stationed at Manasquan Inlet was called in to assist last Thursday with the rescue of a boater who suffered a medical emergency over 20 miles east of Manasquan Inlet.

A motor lifeboat boat crew from Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet to the scene assisted a helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City to rescue a 72-year-old male experiencing stroke-like symptoms while aboard the motor vessel Voyager.

The boater was safely transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City for treatment.
