Virginia R. Ritchie Of Point Pleasant Dies At 91,

Virginia R. Ritchie of Point Pleasant passed away on Sept. 15, 2017 in the arms of her daughter and beloved best friend, Colleen McCormack.

She was born in Kearny and moved to Point Pleasant in 1956 with her husband, Blair, whom she married on August 10, 1944.

For twenty years, Virginia worked at the Nellie F. Bennett Elementary School, Point Pleasant, and retired as food service manager.

After her husband's death, she volunteered at Point Pleasant Hospital for five years. Her love for Cape Cod was so special for herself and Colleen. Every year it holds so many beautiful thoughts of such a magical place.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband, of forty-seven years, Blair E. Ritchie in 1991.

Surviving are her daughter, Colleen McCormack of Point Pleasant; brother, Henry Ebel and wife Marabeth of MD and DE; and sister, Nancy Cockey of MD.

Entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River was held privately.
