In the letter, Stone said school officials had not identified any close contacts in the building of the person who tested positive, and that anyone who tests positive will not return to the school and will be safely separated until the person is no longer infectious.

Stone declined to disclose more details, writing, "In order to protect the privacy of the individual who has tested positive, we cannot share additional details about the case."

Another two Queens public schools — P.S. 152 Gwendoline N. Alleyne School and P.S. 128 — reported COVID-19 cases among their school communities from Friday to Monday, but the person with the virus had not been to the building, according to the Department of Education.
