Astoria Pharmacies To Start Administering Coronavirus Vaccines
Eight Astoria pharmacies are now offering COVID-19 vaccine appointments to those 65 and older under a new federal program.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — Eight chain pharmacy locations in Astoria have joined the push to administer COVID-19 vaccines to seniors.
The Costco, Rite Aid and Walgreens pharmacy outposts in Astoria are among 268 pharmacy locations across the city that are now offering vaccination appointments to anyone 65 and older, under a federal program.

- Rite Aid at 21-25 Broadway
- Rite Aid at 32-14 31st St.
- Rite Aid at 32-87 Steinway St.
- Rite Aid at 33-01 30th Ave.
- Walgreens/Duane Reade at 33-55 Crescent St.
- Walgreens/Duane Reade at 35-06 Broadway
- Walgreens/Duane Reade at 47-07 Broadway
The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program will deliver 26,500 vaccine doses a week to Walgreens/Duane Reade, Costco and Rite Aid pharmacies across New York City, officials announced Thursday.
"Pharmacies are a trusted part of our infrastructure, particularly for seniors who rely on them for medications and other services," Dave Chokshi, the city's health commissioner, said in a statement. "These additional doses will be a lifeline for so many city residents."
