ASTORIA, QUEENS — The man who writes the blog Helleniscope stands accused of waging a "malicious and relentless campaign" against Greek community leaders in Astoria, according to a news report.

Lawyer Costas Eliades, a volunteer at Saint Demetrios Church and board member at Saint Demetrios School, accused blogger Nikos Stamatakis of spreading lies about him and other community members, the New York Post reported.

Eliades claims in the suit that Stamatakis falsely accused him of committing adultery with a PTA member in a school building, according to the Post.

Former Saint Demetrios superintendent Anastasios Koularmanis sued the blogger for defamation last year, after Stamatakis accused him of embezzlement, the Post reported.

"My role is to bring to light all power abuses and ‘conflicts of interest’ taking place in St. Demetrios community of Astoria,” Stamatakis told the Post.
