LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Most meetings and events may be virtual nowadays, but there's still plenty going on in Astoria and Long Island City.
Patch has compiled a list of events for neighbors to mark on their calendars. From community meetings to family events, here are the dates to know for the week of Feb. 7.
Local Meetings & Events
Monday, Feb. 8: Queens Borough President Donovan Richards hosts a virtual meeting of the Queens Parent Advisory Board at 6 p.m. The event will be livestreamed here. Parents can submit topic-related questions in advance by emailing education@queensbp.org.

Tuesday, Feb. 9: The District 30 Community Education Council hosts its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Click here for details.
Wednesday, Feb. 10: The Old Astoria Neighborhood Association hosts its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m., which will be livestreamed on Facebook. The agenda includes a briefing on the Astoria library reconstruction and updates on the Hallets Cove restoration.

NYC Parks hosts a volunteer event with Kew Kids Forest School to beautify Forest Park from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Feb. 13. Participants must register in advance here, as space is limited.
