Patch has compiled a list of events for neighbors to mark on their calendars. From community meetings to family events, here are the dates to know for the week of Feb. 22.
Local Meetings & Events
Monday, Feb. 22: The Queens Borough Board, chaired by Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., will deliberate and vote on its package of budget priorities for Fiscal Year 2022. The event will be livestreamed here at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 25: The Queens Borough President's Office hosts a Black History Month celebration with keynote remarks from New York State Attorney General Letitia James. The event will be livestreamed here at 6 p.m.

Queens Public Library hosts a Lunar New Year celebration with a Korean cooking lesson and music program featuring Soh Young Lee Segredo on Thursday, Feb. 20, livestreamed at 3 p.m. on Facebook.

Ongoing Events
Queens Botanical Garden celebrates the Lunar New Year with a display of traditional Chinese Lion Dance costumes, crafting activities and lucky plant sales, all month long. Click here for details.
Queens Historical Society presents the exhibition Capturing Queens, highlighting the work of two prominent photographers of Queens, Percy Loomis Sperr and Frederic J. Weber. In-person viewings are available Tuesdays and Saturdays by appointment.
The Noguchi Museum presents a Futura Akari exhibition, on display through Feb. 28.
Socrates Sculpture Park presents Jeffrey Gibson's Because Once You Enter My House, It Becomes Our House, on display through March.
