FDNY Firefighter In Astoria Arrested On Weapons Charge: Police
Cops arrested an off-duty FDNY firefighter in Astoria on Wednesday after they said they found a loaded gun in his possession.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — An off-duty FDNY firefighter was arrested Wednesday night in Astoria after police officers said they found a loaded gun in his possession.
Police arrested Jaquell Ramos after they spotted the weapon while searching an Astoria home, although Ramos does not live there and it is unclear why officers were searching it or if anyone else was arrested, according to the New York Daily News.
Ramos was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon — but the charges have since been dropped after police determined the gun wasn't his, the Daily News reported Friday.
