Kaufman Arts District To Host Holiday Tree Lighting Livestream

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Astoria's Kaufman Arts District will ring in the holiday season with a virtual tree lighting ceremony Friday in front of Kaufman Astoria Studios.

The holiday tree will be adorned with ornaments decorated by students from the neighboring Riis Settlement at P.S. 166 and the Astoria Film Festival, according to a news release.

The public can watch a livestream of the ceremony starting 4 p.m. Friday on Instagram and Facebook Live.

The Kaufman Arts District was founded by Kaufman Astoria Studios, the Museum of the Moving Image and the Queens Council on the Arts to promote and advocate for the arts in Astoria.
